Full Moon Wildness

There is something special about the energy of a full moon. It brings out the wild side. It is bright and glowing, yet none of the mundane of daytime is there. It’s a time that encourages experimentation. It’s a time when it’s okay to get a little wild. Or a lot!

I feel the goddess energy strongly during the full moon. I remember one time when I decided to act it out — to invite the archetype of a moon goddess to use my body as I gave and received the blessing of lovemaking with my partner John.

I did a little advance preparation. I bought some fabric to create a costume. I got some shiny silver fabric that was stretchy and smooth. It clung to my hips in interesting wrinkles as I tied it around my waist. And I found some floaty off-white chiffon, which I draped around my shoulders. I wore a moonstone necklace and earrings. And nothing else.

The trip to the fabric store to get this fabric is a story in itself. As I stood in line to get the fabric measured, I noticed that the young woman behind the counter was asking each person what they were going to make with their fabric. I had some time to consider my answer before I got there. When she asked me, I replied, “I’m going to dress up like a moon goddess, so my boyfriend can worship the goddess through my body.” I felt a little nervous about saying this, not knowing how she would respond.

She was shocked. Her mouth tightened, and her eyes avoided mine. I felt sad for her. She was closing herself off to so much pleasure. I could see it in the way she held her body and in her reaction to my statement. I sent her an inward blessing, and a prayer that sexual shame be lifted from this planet.

I also was pleased that I stood in my knowing that sexual energy is holy. And maybe the interaction with me planted a seed with her. Maybe it prepared the way for a transformation that came later. Or not. That part is out of my control. But I think it serves the transformation of this planet to stay strong and positive in the attitude that sexuality is sacred.

Back to the moon goddess night. We were camping on a hillside above a lake in Oregon. It was a warm summer night and we made our bed outside on the ground. The moon was bright and the oak trees all around us were black and gnarled. The moonlight glittered on the water.

I sat across John’s hips as he laid flat on his back, and raised my arms to the moon. I asked the moon goddess to enter me. I gave myself to the archetype of the moon goddess. I surrendered to her and sent a prayer that she honor this beautiful man who I love so much. I felt steeped in magic, and on holy ground.

This is the power of archetype. This particular night was about the moon goddess. I relate to her deeply so it was a natural connection.

What archetype do you relate to? How would it feel to embody it? What would be fun for you? I encourage you to experiment with these powerful energies.

And have fun in the full moon wildness!

Naked to the Soul

This month’s new moon, on November 4 is in Scorpio. Not only that, it is very close to Mars which rules Scorpio. It’s an excellent time to bring some Scorpio energy into your relationship.

The first word I think of when I think of Scorpio is “intense’. Scorpio thrives upon intensity. Surface interactions just don’t do it. They want depth.

Scorpio has a reputation for being a sexy sign. Sexual energy is their resting ground.

A Scorpio wants you naked. But the nakedness goes beyond the body. They want you to be naked to your soul. To reveal yourself, the hidden depths, is the ultimate nakedness, and the ultimate turn-on.

Of course, it takes trust to do this. If you want your partner to reveal themselves, then you need to be trustworthy. This means receiving what they give you without judgment or criticism — being in unconditional love and acceptance. When you do this consistently over time, then you build the trust that allows your partner to feel safe enough to be naked with you — beyond the skin.

If this has not been the flavor of your relationship so far, you can use this new moon as a new beginning of building a connection of trust and safety. Let your partner know that you want to make a new start. and keep focusing upon their beauty and lovability. The more you find them right, the more they will begin to trust you.

Here’s a gift of something that may help you create more intimacy with your partner. It’s a cut from a longer guided experience called Communing: Intimate Connection For Couples. This is a collaboration with beautiful music by award-winning composer and musician Kevin Braheny Fortune, who was the cofounder and coteacher at the Center for Divine Passion with me in the 1990’s.

Get yourself into a comfortable position with your partner. Arrange yourself so that you can look into each others eyes. Once you’re ready start the music, and use it to help yourselves drop into intimacy. Enjoy!

The full guided experience will be released November 30. Stay tuned for details.

May you enjoy nakedness to the soul.

Full Moon Sex Magic

The full moon this month, on October 20, 2021, has a complex configuration of very potent planets. Without going into too much technical detail, I’ll just say that there is a possibility of either a strong action for more equity and justice, or for global strife and conflict. It’s up to us how we express the energies.

One action that you can take to bring harmony into this mix is to do sex magic for peace.

There are many ways to do sex magic. Some are quite advanced techniques, which really should be taught in person. But here is a way you can use the principles of sex magic without having to learn much in the way of technique.

The basic idea is that your sexual energy is a source of power that can be channeled into a vision or a goal. You start by raising your sexual energy, however feels right to you. It can be through self pleasuring or through connection with a partner.

Once your energy starts to flow don’t rush straight to orgasm. When the energy gets going, slow down your physical stimulation, relax and take a breath, imagining the energy moving up your spine. As you do this visualize a world of peace and justice. If you are with a partner, do this together when either of you needs to slow down.

Repeat this at least three times. Three is a good magic number. You can do this as much as you like. Each time will build the energy a little higher.

When you feel complete, say the following: “This or something better, and for the highest good of all.” Then give it over to the universe. It’s best for you to not get involved in how it happens. Your job is to supply the vision. It’s the universe’s job to make it happen.

Thank you for doing your part for world peace!

How to Make Love to a Sensitive Woman, Part Two

There is one thing that is crucial to understand about how a sensitive woman processes touch. Each touch is a significant event. It creates ripples of pleasure that radiate out from the place that was touched to the periphery of her body, much like the ripples that are created when something is dropped into water. It is very satisfying to feel the ripples go all the way out as far as they can. It’s easiest to feel this when there is space between touches so interference is not created.

Look at the difference between the first and second picture. There is a harmony and serenity in the first picture where there is only one source of rippling. Compared that to the second picture where many raindrops are hitting the surface of the water. The energy is chaotic and confusing. This can be similar to a reaction that a sensitive woman might have to too much touch too quickly.

Many people, no matter how good they are as lovers, find this a new concept. I was never taught this concept. I had to figure out for myself, and it took me years to be able to articulate it. So if you have this kind of sensitivity, it is important to communicate this to your lover in a loving way, without making them wrong.

I have been blessed with many wonderful lovers in my life — men who are attentive, intuitive, skilled, embodied and eager to please. I remember a time with one of these dear men. I had just understood this concept for myself and figured out a way to talk about it. I decided to show him rather than trying to tell him. He touched me, and this is what I said.

“What a lovely touch! Let me keep feeling it. I’m still feeling it. I’m still feeling it! It’s still rippling out. Thank you for letting me feel all of it. Ohhh . . . ohh!”

I continued with this until I didn’t feel it anymore. And he got it! After that he gave me way more space to feel each touch. I enjoyed his touch more, and responded with more pleasure. That motivated him to do more of the pauses. We were both happy.

If you’re a sensitive woman, or her lover, I hope this serves you well. If you need support, we can start with a complimentary Sexual Renaissance session. Click the link to find out more.

The Fun of Costuming

Today is the new moon in Leo. How can you benefit from more Leo energy in your relationship?

Leo energy is dramatic, creative and playful. An actor upon a stage is a good manifestation of Leo energy. Leo enjoys being admired.

A fun way to express Leo in an intimate connection is to play with costuming. Dress up like a god or goddess and let yourself be admired. It can make an encounter feel special to do that.

Many people are stimulated by the visual. Often they have been shamed for that, and have resorted to sneaking a peek for fear of condemnation. (“You are treating me like an object.”) It can be very liberating for them to be openly encouraged in indulging their visual orientation. (“Go ahead and feast your eyes.”)

If you are insecure about how your body looks, remember that sexual energy gives you an aura of beauty. It’s as if the sacred erotic enters your body and makes you glow. It’s when we are the most beautiful.

And most people blossom with a bit of admiration. It feeds the part of us that is insecure about how we are perceived. It’s important to remember that your partner may be taking a risk in costuming, and look at them with eyes of appreciation. See the beauty, not the flaws.

If you find that difficult feelings arise with this, I’m here to support you. A complimentary Sexual Renaissance session is a good way to start. Click the link to find out more.

Enjoy a bit of Leo flair this new moon!

How to Make Love to a Sensitive Woman

Making love to a sensitive woman can be a tricky matter. It can be the most exquisite pleasure, or it can be a source of disconnection if things don’t align well. I know, because I’m a sensitive woman. So I’ve learned a lot about this that I’d like to share with you.

Probably the most important tip I can give you is to give her space. If she is sensitive, she can probably feel you before you even start touching physically. Imagine energy coming from your hands like streams of light. This light flows out of each finger, and goes far beyond your fingers. When I was a girl, I used to tickle my little brother from across the room, just by wiggling my fingers at him. He would giggle and squirm and I would laugh. If you imagine that you can touch from a distance, her sensitive receptivity will feel it.

A sensitive person has much more attunement to their nervous system than most people. It’s as if there are thousands of little satellite dishes on the skin. Each one has to turn on and line up in the right direction to receive the touch. This takes time, but it’s so worth it! If you give her that time, moving slowly, and all those dishes align, the pleasure is enormous.

If you’d like support in learning how to do this, I’ve taught hundreds of people in the art of touch. To find out more, click this link for a complimentary Sexual Renaissance session. It’s a great way to make a new start on a joyous sexual connection!

Letting Emotions Flow

Today is the new moon in Cancer. How does Cancer energy enhance a relationship?

Cancer is a water sign, ruled by the moon. It is all about emotions — the most emotional sign of the zodiac. Emotions are hugely important in an intimate connection. When you share your emotions, you open the door to your heart and soul. Often the body follows that opening with its own opening.

Some self-disclosure here — I have five planets in Cancer. It’s a concentration of attention in the area of emotions. I even taught Japanese people how to express their emotions, in visits to Tokyo over the course of ten years. I can be very emotional at times, and I thrive in that arena. So I’m something of an expert on Cancer.

Here’s how Cancer showed up for me recently. My partner John and I have a standing date for once a week. We do our Connection Ceremony* each time, which begins with a check-in from each of us. Lately I’ve had a lot to process, and I was feeling some sadness as I came into our time together.

My mind got busy. “I’m always emotional. He’ll get tired of it. It’s a downer for him to be with this. Don’t cry.”

But I stayed real. I talked about what was up with me, I cried the tears, and then I was clear again. Just like a storm passing over a range of hills, if you don’t resist or cling, the emotions move quickly.

Later, we were sharing a moment of exquisite pleasure. It was slow and delicate, and I was transported into ecstasy. I said to him, “This delight is possible because I cleared out the sadness. It made room for the joy.”

And it’s true. If you are stuffed full of unexpressed emotions, then you go a little numb in order to not feel them. But the numbness is not selective. Pleasure gets numbed along with the pain. But if your emotions are flowing, your energy flows too. And pleasure rides the energy.

Give yourself permission to express your emotions fully, and you will give yourself permission to have more joy. It’s what remains once the emotions clear out — your natural state of being.

If you need support in this realm, I’m happy to help. Allow me to offer you a complimentary Sexual Renaissance session. Click the link to find out more.

With love,
Satya

Hot Sex vs. Cool Sex

Artist Unknown — If you know them, please let me know so I can acknowledge them

People love hot sex. What’s not to like? It’s wild, passionate, and it sweeps you away.

But what about cool sex? You don’t hear too much about that.

I love cool sex. Sex that includes stillness and space. Like a kiss where your lips are barely touching and your breath brushes your lips. Or a moment during intercourse when you both get still and feel the energies moving through your bodies as you hover on the edge of orgasm.

In moments like these, I feel myself expand into infinity.

Cool sex has lots of advantages. The possibility of spiritual expansion. The calm alertness that it brings to the mind. The exquisite pleasure of being able to fully feel each touch because there is space around it and you have time to let it ripple fully through your body before the next touch comes.

Plus, it’s a lot easier to do if you have issues with your body such as pain or limitations with movement.

So, yes, enjoy hot sex all you want. And maybe experiment with just how hot cool sex can be!

If you need support with your sexuality (either hot or cold!), let me offer you a complimentary Sexual Renaissance session. Click the link to find out more.

(I am grateful to David and Ellen Ramsdale for introducing me to the idea of cool sex in their magnificent book Sexual Energy Ecstasy. It’s one of my favorite sacred sexuality books.)

Curiosity!

Thursday, June 10, 2021 is a new moon in Gemini. To make it more potent, it’s also a solar eclipse, which happens at a new moon where the earth, sun and moon are in precise alignment.

What qualities of Gemini would serve you to bring into your relationship? Gemini is concerned with gathering information and communication. It’s a sign of curiosity. These qualities will serve you well in getting to know more about your partner.

I took a car trip with a lover once. We were in my bare-bones little car, with no sound system and a 12-hour drive ahead of us. We decided to pass the time by asking each other questions about our sexual experiences. We spent almost the whole twelve hours wrapped up in fascinating conversation, and we learned a lot about each other. This is a positive use of Gemini energy.

If you are called to do this, an important ground rule would be to receive your partner’s answer without judgment. It can be vulnerable to talk about such intimate topics, and to be met with judgment can be traumatizing. Remember that any event either feels positive, or it’s a step in someone’s learning process. There are no mistakes, just events that give you more clarity about what you want for yourself.

Here are some questions to get you started:
• What do you enjoy most in our sexual relationship?
• Is there anything you’d like to try with me that we haven’t done?
• Tell me about the first time you had sex.
• What do you fantasize about?
• Where is the most unusual place you’ve had sex?
• Tell me about a time you felt adventurous sexually.

You can also journal on your own about these questions, and look for themes in what you write.

If this conversation uncovers issues that need addressing, I’m happy to support you. Click here to find out more about how to start with a complimentary Sexual Renaissance session.

Ride the power of this Gemini solar eclipse to gather more information about your beloved or yourself!

Sensual Delights

Today is the new moon in Taurus. A new moon is a good time for a new beginning, as it starts a new month-long cycle.

Ah, Taurus! Such an earthy, sensual sign! Taurus is about enjoying all the senses — smells, like the flowers blooming now, or the smell of your lover or yourself. Tastes, like wine and chocolate and fresh-baked bread. Sight, like the colors of those flowers, and the lush green of springtime. Sounds, like the birdsong that has returned to the land, or the soft moans and breaths of your lover. And touch, like the caresses that you give and receive with your lover or with yourself.

Is it any wonder why Taurus season is in May? And Beltane, the Celtic festival of fertility, where people would make love in the fields to assure the fertility of the upcoming crops, is May 1 – right smack dab in the middle of Taurus?

To celebrate Taurus, create a sensual delight for yourself and your partner if you have one. Prepare your space as one of beauty. Include some fragrant flowers, and choose your smoothest sheets. Have plenty of pillows so everything is very comfortable. Prepare some delicious snack food ahead of time. Gather some items that you can use to pleasure your partner’s skin, or yours. A silk scarf can be lightly dragged across naked skin. An ostrich feather can tickle pleasantly. The bristles of a hairbrush create a stimulating sensation on the skin and provide a contrast to the light touch of other things. Use your imagination to notice the textures of things that might create an interesting sensation.

If you have a partner, then you might experiment with blindfolding them so that the other senses get emphasized. Left them lie back and relax, naked, while you stimulate the senses with these items you gathered, as well as your fingertips, your fingernails, your hair, your lips, your breath, and your breasts if you have them. Notice their reactions, and follow their body’s guidance. If you choose you can take turns giving and receiving.

If you’re with yourself, you can still do many of these things. Keep the attitude of self-loving while you enjoy this delight of the senses, which is given to the ultimate lover — you!

Taurus month is an excellent time to begin to awaken your sensuality if it has gone to sleep. If you need assistance with that, I am offering three complimentary Sexual Renaissance sessions in the month of May. This is available until May 20, when Taurus season ends for the year. Act now to harness the energy of the planets!

Here’s wishing you the sensual delight of a Taurus season!
