Pleasure is such a powerful vehicle for inspiration. I was reminded once again about this yesterday, during one of our regular connection ceremonies with my beloved partner John.
We spend an afternoon together once a week, with the intention of deepening the connection between us on all levels — physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It’s an afternoon of pleasure in many forms — massage, movement, deep communication, and lovemaking.
There was a moment when John needed to step outside for a few minutes. The sun had come out, and he needed to go open the greenhouse doors to let the heat out. (I love this aspect of him, how he is so tuned in to what the land needs in any moment. I call him Brother Earth sometimes.)
I was swimming in pleasure when John left, and not at all impatient that he needed to go. While John was gone, I experienced a deluge of downloads.
I am in the beginning stages of planning a new group for couples. Even though I have taught hundreds of sacred sexuality workshops since 1993, I am creating a new group now, because I’m in a new place with my own growth and evolution. I want to bring all that I have learned into this new offering.
My mind drifted towards the new group, and one idea after another came through. I kept walking into my office to scribble them down. It was like taking dictation from Spirit.
I think the state of pleasure and relaxation was key to being able to receive all this. It was so much fun to being in this creative flow!
I’ll be in touch soon about this group when I work out the details. It’s going to be a good one, focused upon deepening the connection and heightening the pleasure between couples. I can’t wait to share it with you!
